- explain what you were trying to achieve

• For my Preliminary task i had to create a School magazine cover, i wanted to achieve severall things; i wanted to use different effects to make the page look better so i started by cutting the image and layering it so i could then put a glow on the character. I also wanted to relate my magazine to what was in the picture on the front page and the school itself, i cam up with the idea to advertise Windows 7 as there is a computer on the front cover. I related it to the school by using the school colours

- highlight your strengths

• My strengths of this project where that i related everything to eachother, and used so effects to make it look better.

- What went well? What went to plan?

• The Magazine was easy to make, i enjoyed making it and i cant wait until we make our music magazine, I originally had a different design but had trouble making it fit togetherand this caused it not to go to plan so i scrappped it and started fresh, the fresh cover is the cover that is now completed.

- Where are your weaknesses? What were the problems?

• My weakness is that i had to remake my magazine and the problem was that it set me back a few lessons.

- What had you intended to do? Why did it not work?

• i intended to make it as good as i could but it didnt work because i struggled with alot of of the editing on the software we had to use but when i started my new cover i realised i had to get motivated and i was determind to learn these things so i got help from a teacher in school who is a pro on the software.

- Compare your work to the standard OCR example (On W:Drive) How does your's compare?

• The OCR example is better than my school magazine, for the simple reason a professional had made it, ive now learnt alot and theres alot more to come for when i make my music magazine.

- What have you learnt about Media production as a result of this process?

• Media production is hard at first but once you know what your doing its easy. Media production will always bring complications because you work for someone else and have to design it how they want it and this can sometimes be difficult.

- What have you learnt about the task and the way you work?

• i have learnt to work to a plan, be on time with everything i do.

- How will you change the way you approach the main task?

• Im going to properly plan this task, im going to research alot more and im going to create a layout for the magazine.
